Rock matriarch SHARON OSBOURNE is expected to make an emotional plea on British TV show CRIMEWATCH tonight (14DEC04) for the public to help police track down the intruders who stole her jewellery last month (22NOV04).

Thieves broke into the THE X FACTOR judge's mansion in Buckinghamshire, England, but were caught by her husband OZZY, who bravely held one of the robbers in a headlock and dangled him out of a window nine metres (30 feet) above the ground, until the intruder struggled free and escaped with precious gems worth more than $3.8 million (GBP2 million).

BBC producers have urged Sharon to make a public appeal on the programme, for the return of trinkets including her wedding rings and a sapphire band celebrating her successful battle with colon cancer.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman says, "They are trying to get hold of Sharon to do a pre-recorded message. If she can't appear then officers will do it instead. It is hoped someone will come forward."
