ASHLEY OLSEN - OLSEN LANDS FIRST SOLO COVER

Teen actress ASHLEY OLSEN has landed her first solo magazine cover, posing without her twin sister MARY-KATE for the July (05) issue of HARPER'S BAZAAR.

While Mary-Kate misses out on appearing on the publication's cover, an article inside the magazine praises both sisters for their "dumpster dressing" and "bobo" look.

Ashley, who turns 19 on 13 June (05), tells Harper's, "I honestly don't know why we started dressing like that.

"We like wearing big, oversized things and it gets photographed. New York weather allows you to layer a lot."

As for what inspires their style, Ashley adds, "If you look at pictures of the two of us walking down the street, you know we're not trying to look like sex symbols... Dressing up is all about fun. My idea of the highest compliment is 'adorable'."

Ashley is currently interning for designer ZAC POSEN.
