ASHLEY OLSEN - OLSEN DITCH DORMS FOR PENTHOUSE

Teen millionaires MARY-KATE and ASHLEY OLSEN are snubbing college dorms to live in a $7.3 million (GBP4.05 million) New York city penthouse when they enrol at NEW YORK UNIVERSITY next month (SEP04).

The NEW YORK MINUTE stars, 18, have bought a 5,725-square-foot (532-square-metre) penthouse in trendy Greenwich Village, which was originally four separate apartments, and they're knocking through the walls to make one huge home.

According to the NEW YORK TIMES newspaper, each twin will have a wing that boasts a master bedroom, study, and a bathroom with walk-in closet. The building will also include a film screening room, two guest bedrooms and several extra bathrooms

One twin will have a view of lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty, while the other will be able to gaze at the Empire State Building.

The pair's publicist says, "They love the apartment. They love the view."
