Eccentric former TEARDROP EXPLODES frontman JULIAN COPE is so convinced bizarre forces haunted the recording of his acclaimed occult-influenced album JEHOVAHKILL, he taped their presence.
The rocker felt sure he wasn't alone during the sessions for the 1992 album and still has a tape of what was going on in the studio when everything was turned off.
He tells Britain's MOJO magazine, "At one point I got this effect when I was singing, which p**sed the engineer off because there was no effect on my vocals; everything started swimming around and got louder and louder.
"We were recording it, so we switched everything else off, and when we listened back we heard dolphin noises mixed with your auntie's idea of what demons sound like.
"We didn't use it because it was just weird and it freaked me out."
