OBIE TRICE - OBIE TRICE SHOT

US rapper OBIE TRICE was shot on New Year's Eve (31DEC05) while driving in his car in Detroit, Michigan.

The hip-hop star, who is signed to EMINEM's Shady Records label, was injured when shots fired from another vehicle travelling along the Lodge Freeway smashed through the back windscreen of his car.

Trice pulled off the freeway and his girlfriend, who was not hurt in the attack, flagged down passing police.

Trice was taken to Detroit's Providence Hospital where he was treated and later released.
