OASIS - OASIS FIRE DEATH IN VEGAS

Rock outfit OASIS's sixth album will be produced by songwriter NOEL GALLAGHER after all - following the dismissal of producers DEATH IN VEGAS.

The LIVE FOREVER hitmakers had recruited Vegas frontman RICHARD FEARLESS to oversee recording on the eagerly-anticipated record, but he was relieved of his duties this week (ends12MAR04).

And now Gallagher - who is the driving force behind the band - will take over.

The band say in a statement, "Oasis have finished the sessions with DIV and returned to their own studio to continue work on their sixth studio album."

It is not clear whether any tracks Fearless has worked on will be included on the final version of the follow-up to 2002's HEATHEN CHEMISTRY.
