The promoters of a cancelled New Year's Eve (31DEC05) street party in Los Angeles are being sued by disgruntled BLACK EYED PEAS fans who feel the show should have gone on.

Organisers of the Giant Village event were forced to scrap the multi-stage show due to torrential rain.

Acts like Black Eyed Peas and JUNIOR SENIOR, who were scheduled to perform, were told the bash had been cancelled after organiser DAVE DEAN consulted with Los Angeles fire chiefs and was warned that staging the night-long festival would be hazardous.

But, despite offering all revellers full refunds, many are still unhappy that their New Year's Eve celebrations were ruined at the last minute.

A group of music fans who were left with no party to go to on New Year's Eve are planning to file a class action lawsuit, claiming promoters promised them the show would go on "come rain or shine."
