Dance veterans NEW ORDER are still owed money from record sales during their 1980s heyday - but they have no idea how much.

The TRUE FAITH stars credit defunct record label FACTORY with inspiring them to write and record some of their best-loved tunes.

But they also hold Factory boss TONY WILSON's incompetence responsible for the company's failure to keep track of album sales and pay New Order enough money.

Singer BERNARD SUMNER says, "The problem that we had with Factory is that they didn't pay us the money."

Bassist PETER HOOK adds, "We never knew how many records we sold. We still don't. No idea. In Tony's defence, it's not like he f**ked off with the money. If anyone knows who's got it, could they write in?"

The story of New Order, Wilson and Factory was heavily featured in 2002 film 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE, which focused on the Manchester, England, music scene of the 80s.
