Hollywood newcomer JACOB ARON ESTES utilised his own personal experience with adolescent revenge to write and direct his first film MEAN CREEK.

The young movie-maker directs RORY CULKIN and RYAN KELLEY in the drama about an angry brother who enacts revenge on his sibling's bully.

Estes tells British magazine EMPIRE, "When I was 23 I'd play basketball every day, and each day this hateful guy would turn up drunk to the court and violently abuse me. It made me really angry.

"I got to the point where I was frightened of my own revenge fantasies, so I decided to write a screenplay about kids having the same fantasy and what the consequence might be."
