NELLY - NELLY JOINS BASEBALL TEAM

NELLY is joining minor league baseball team Richmond Braves in Virginia next month (02MAY06) in a celebrity softball game to raise funds for inner city youths. The DILEMMA star, real name CORNELL HAYNES JR, plans to donate the cash to his 4Sho4Kids Foundation which aims to improve the quality of life for children with disabilities and babies born addicted to drugs. GABRIELLE UNION, MICHAEL VICK, CLINTON PORTIS, AHMAN GREEN and SHAWN BARBER will also feature in the all-star line up. 4Sho4Kids Foundation executive director CHALENA MACK tells AllHipHop.com, "What we have done with 4Sho4Kids Foundation is bring awareness to all cities. "With our recent catastrophe that our country has experienced with Katrina, our foundation made a commitment to help children of all ages in all cities, no matter where they are. So it is with great anticipation and excitement that we come to Richmond, VA and give the fans a fun game for a great cause." Braves general manager BRUCE BALDWIN adds, "We are thrilled to be able to host this wonderful event to benefit the 4Sho4Kids Foundation and help bring awareness and aid to the important work the foundation is doing on behalf of children in our community."
