MADONNA - NE-YO AND PLACEBO TOP EUROPEAN CHARTS

MADONNA's reign at the top of the European singles chart has been ended by R+B star NE-YO, whose SO SICK has jumped straight in at number one. PINK is another new entry at number two with STUPID GIRLS, while the MATERIAL GIRL drops two places to number three with SORRY. BOB SINCLAIR FEAT GARY PINE sits at number four with LOVE GENERATION, and SEAN PAUL's TEMPERATURE is at number five. Meanwhile, PLACEBO's MECS remains the number one European album. Opera star ANDREA BOCELLI moves up a place to number two with AMORE, while DAVID GILMOUR's ON AN ISLAND falls a place to number three. At number four is KATIE MELUA with PIECE BY PIECE, while KELLY CLARKSON is at number five with BREAKAWAY.
