LATEST: Plans to name a Californian airport after hit TV drama THE OC have been axed after complaints were made from locals.
Supervisor CHRIS NORBY of the real-life Orange County local government wanted to change the name of his local JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT to The OC Airport in honour of the TV teen show.
However Norby was forced to back down after local newspapers which published the idea were inundated with complaints.
