Mystery surrounds a secret stash of photographs taken on and off the set of cult 1966 Mod movie BLOW-UP after they simply appeared among a collection of negatives from the film.

Ironically, the movie, starring VANESSA REDGRAVE and DAVID HEMMINGS, was all about photography and voyeurism - and now it seems there was someone taking candid shots of the stars being voyeuristic in the film.

But no one can recall them being taken, and none of the cast and crew have any recollection of a set photographer.

The candid shots, taken from a collection of 800 black and white negatives, feature arty on-set shots as well as images of Redgrave playing with her children.

DAVID WILLS, who is the curator of an exhibition of the shots at Hollywood's HEADQUARTERS gallery, admits he's baffled about the origin of the black and white pictures.

He claims he has spoken to many of the film's stars, including Hemmings, and admits no one has any recollection of the photographs being taken.
