BRITTANY MURPHY - MURPHY MATCH-MAKES FIANCE WITH FRIENDS

Movie beauty BRITTANY MURPHY is grateful for her relationship with fiance JEFF KWATINETZ - because she initially tried to set him up with two of her female friends.

The UPTOWN GIRLS star, 26, was initially impressed by her lover's "exuberance" - even if she viewed the Hollywood agent as more suited to someone else.

Murphy - who previously dated actor ASHTON KUTCHER - explains, "I tried to set him up with two of my girlfriends.

"He struck me as being the greatest guy, someone who was clearly on his own at the time because he'd worked so hard for so long.

"He runs the company (THE FIRM), but when I first met him I thought he was an office boy.

"He has that spirit and exuberance of someone who's just starting out in the business."

While it was not "love at first sight" for Murphy, she comments, "I didn't even mildly see him for me, in any shape or form.

"I remember just feeling comfortable in his company and that was it."
