EDDIE MURPHY is reviving the BEVERLY HILLS COP movie franchise after reportedly agreeing to play wisecracking policeman AXEL FOLEY for a fourth time. Murphy continued to develop the project after producer JERRY BRUCKHEIMER walked away from BEVERLY HILLS COP 4 two years ago (04), and now insiders claim the comedian has found the perfect script. According to moviehole.net, Murphy plans to revamp the franchise by returning to the low-budget feel of the original 1984 film. The new movie, which will also reportedly feature JUDGE REINHOLD and PAUL REISER, features a terrorist theme. According to the website, the script was written just after the events of September 11th (01), and shelved due to the tense political climate.
