Hunky 1950s movie veteran TAB HUNTER has revealed he's gay in a new biography.

The actor, who became a big star in movies like DAMN YANKEES and BATTLE CRY, is now 72 - and has decided the time is right to reveal all about his homosexuality.

He says, "For anyone curious to know my story, I wanted to be sure that they're getting it from the horse's mouth."

Hunter's memoirs will be released in 2005.
