CATHERINE ZETA JONES - MORE HORROR THREATS FROM ZETA-JONES' ALLEGED STALKER

A Los Angeles court room was left stunned yesterday (28JUL04) as vile letters allegedly written by CATHERINE ZETA-JONES and MICHAEL DOUGLAS' stalker to the Welsh actress were read out.

After claims that DAWNETTE KNIGHT wrote letters to Douglas' father KIRK DOUGLAS claiming his granddaughter CERYS was actually GEORGE CLOONEY's child, court officials felt they'd heard the worst.

But in court yesterday, more disturbing letters were read out, in which Knight threatened that Zeta-Jones "will be shredded

to pieces like (CHARLES MANSON murder victim) SHARON TATE," and promising the actress' death would be "the biggest murder that's going to occur in entertainment history."

The documents also say "Knight menacingly asserted that she was 'going to slice her up like meat on a bone and feed her to the dogs.'"

But perhaps the most disturbing extract was, "When we finish with this b*tch/wh*re she will not be this pretty faced actress... You won't be able to recognize her in her cassket ."

Douglas, who was in court yesterday, told the authorities his wife "had a loss of breath and fainting spells," upon receiving one of the letters on the set of OCEAN'S TWELVE in Europe.

He said, "She showed all the signs of having a nervous breakdown... She was hysterical and felt like she was a marked person.

Outside Wednesday's hearing, Knight's fiance RONALD CALVIN told reporters, "It was a stupid prank that got out of hand and it will never happen again.

"She's sorry. I mean, how many times can the woman say she's screwed up, it will never happen again."

Knight faces 25 counts including stalking and making criminal threats.
