THE OMEN - MOORE FEARS DEVIL CHILD

THE OMEN director JOHN MOORE fears his wife's pregnancy could be effected by the curse linked to the original 1976 horror movie. Moore's film, which tells the story of a boy who turns out to be the anti-Christ, was released last week (06JUN06), just days after he discovered his wife was expecting. And he is terrified his unborn child could fall victim to the curse which befell the first movie. The original, starring GREGORY PECK and LEE REMICK, was dogged by odd and tragic occurrences throughout filming, which peaked when an animal trainer was killed in an ape frenzy scene. Moore says, "Weird isn't it - given the subject of The Omen."
