MARILYN MONROE - MONROE'S STUDIO SEX SESSION NIGHTMARES REVEALED IN NEW BOOK

Tragic movie icon MARILYN MONROE's casting couch nightmares have been exposed in a new book by her former best friend June DiMAGGIO.

DiMaggio, the niece of Monroe's one-time husband JOE DiMAGGIO, reveals the actress often took hour-long showers at her home after enduring unwanted sex sessions with Hollywood movie bosses.

In her new book MARILYN, JOE + ME, June DiMaggio recalls her pal was often distraught after having to keep her emotions at bay while she was violated by significantly older men.

She writes, "Marilyn couldn't afford emotions when she had to sleep with wrinkled old men to survive in the business. She had to protect herself by virtually turning them (emotions) off during those times - as if she were playing a part in order to remove herself from the horror of the situation.

"When these highly placed, high-priced moguls owned her body and soul, she couldn't afford a life of her own.

"There were times, she told me, when she came home exhausted from a day's shoot and some powerful old geezer would telephone her and her skin would crawl.

"After some of the horrors of her studio sex she would come over and stay in our shower for an hour or more. She wanted to wash away the terrible experience she'd had to endure."
