MONICA MAKES IT THROUGH THE STORM

R+B sensation MONICA is glad people understand the relevance of her new album's title THROUGH THE STORM - because it chronicles how she coped with incredible stress.

THE BOY IS MINE beauty was left devastated after a trio of tragedies, which saw her first love JARVIS WEEMS commit suicide in front of her, her close pal SELENA GLEN die after a brain aneurysm and her rapper friend C-MURDER jailed for second degree murder.

After taking four years out of the music business to recover from the trauma, Monica is glad her new record bears testament to the good and bad times.

She says, "Some of the things that happened to me definitely were not things I could handle being in the spotlight. It's really the reason I title my album After the Storm.

"People have talked about what the storm was, but they never really talked about how I made it though those things. That's what my focus is."
