LORD OF THE RINGS - MONAGHAN'S SWEET SIDE EFFECT

LORD OF THE RINGS star DOMINIC MONAGHAN has found he's now producing a lot of sweet-flavoured mucous, thanks to his role as a heroin addict on hit TV show LOST.

The German-born actor plays rocker CHARLIE PACE in the Hawaii-filmed show, and is required to snort up lots brown sugar for his drug-taking scenes in the series.

And he's discovered his efforts have sparked an odd side effect.

He says, "You get some really sweet boogers. You have to be careful not to snort too much of it, but it's happened a few times. You just find dessert up your nose a couple of hours later."
