Kylie Minogue - Minogue's Fear At Never Being A Mother

Pop superstar KYLIE MINOGUE worries she'll never have children - and wishes she settled down earlier.

The CAN'T GET YOU OUT OF MY HEAD singer, who turns 36 this year (04), is desperate to have a child before it's too late.

Speaking on British BBC chat show PARKINSON - to be broadcast tomorrow night (28FEB04) - Kylie reveals becoming a mother would be "the best thing I've ever done".

And the Australian star now regrets not having settled down earlier in life like her parents RON and CAROL, who are still married after 37 years.

She says, "For quite a number of years, I've looked at my parents and they're just still together, they're still in love. They miss each other madly, they hold hands and canoodle.

"They're just the best example for me. And it slightly pains me to think that I will never have that, my chance for that has already gone.

"Even when girlfriends speak to me and they are in serious relationships, married with children, and I say, 'Well, that must be great' - really, until I experience that myself, I won't know."

Kylie has been dating current beau OLIVIER MARTINEZ since February 2003.
