Pop singer GEORGE MICHAEL is doing his bit for wildlife by becoming patron of a swan rescue centre.
The big-hearted PATIENCE star agreed to support the SWAN LIFELINE initiative after seeing several of the long-necked birds in difficulty while swimming on the River Thames near his plush riverside home in Goring, England.
Swan Lifeline boss KAY WEBB is thrilled the star is getting involved with the cause.
She says, "We are delighted he agreed. He has seen our team in action, so we approached him. We will hopefully get him down to the centre."
