British rapper MIA and US rockers FALL OUT BOY have been named the most important emerging artists at America's first XM Nation Music Awards.
The musicians scooped the honour after fans sent in their votes via XM Satellite Radio.
Other winners include MARIAH CAREY, named top comeback artist, GREEN DAY, who won best rock artist, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, for new rock artist, and RYAN ADAMS, who picked up the Under The Radar award for the artist most overlooked by US commercial radio.
USHER and SHAKIRA were named the Dream Duet, while AMERICAN IDOL victor KELLY CLARKSON won pop artist and the Dashboard Anthem honour for her hit single SINCE U BEEN GONE.
Veteran performer CHER scooped the Where's My Lighter? title as the most likely to have another 'final' tour.
