METALLICA are planning to honour heavy rock pioneers BLACK SABBATH with a set of covers when the British supergroup is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Monday (13MAR06). Metallica frontman JAMES HETFIELD admits it's a huge honour for himself and his bandmates to be asked to pay tribute to OZZY OSBOURNE and his band, who will not perform at the induction ceremony. He says, "For all of us in Metallica, Black Sabbath are a major influence, not only on our music, but on our lives, and, as you can imagine, we're psyched to join BILL (WARD), GEEZER (BUTLER), Ozzy and TONY (IOMMI) for the induction ceremony."
