MICHAEL JACKSON - MESEREAU TO BE HONOURED IN LOS ANGELES

MICHAEL JACKSON's attorney THOMAS MESEREAU is to be honoured by his peers after being selected as the Alumnus of The Year by the Los Angeles chapter of US Hastings College of Law.

Mesereau, who helped Jackson win his freedom in last year's (05) child molestation trial, will be 'roasted' by prominent legal minds at an upcoming Friars of Beverly Hills gala.

The famous Friars Club was co-founded by one of Mesereau's former clients, MILTON BERLE.

Mesereau, a partner with the firm of Mesereau + Yu in Los Angeles, was chosen by US broadcaster BARBARA WALTERS as one of the Ten Most Fascinating people of 2005 in an end-of-year TV special, and was also recently named Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Criminal Courts Bar Association of Los Angeles.
