MEAT PUPPETS - MEAT PUPPETS STAR MUST REMAIN IN CUSTODY

Former MEAT PUPPETS bass player CRIS KIRKWOOD must remain in custody on assault charges, despite the fact he was shot during the alleged attack.

A Phoenix, Arizona, judge has ruled that the musician is not only a flight risk, but is also a danger to others, following the incident on 26 December (03).

Kirkwood stands accused of hitting a Phoenix Post Office security guard with a baton - which he took from him during a struggle following a parking dispute with another customer.

The security guard is then said to have shot Kirkwood - who has not yet received notification of when his trial will begin - in the back.
