DELTA BURKE - MCRANEY THANKS WIFE FOR SAVING HIM

American TV actor GERALD McRANEY credits his actress wife DELTA BURKE with saving his life, after she convinced him to see a doctor who then diagnosed him with lung cancer.

The cancer was spotted at an early stage, the lump safely removed, and now nearly a year on, he is back to full health and ready to return to filming period series DEADWOOD, in which he plays mining magnate GEORGE HEARST.

He says, "I'm feeling terrific. Medical science, God and a nagging wife saved my life.

"A whole series of events happened back to back. I blew out a knee, and Delta kept after me to see someone about it."
