VELVET REVOLVER bassist DUFF McKAGAN has blasted clubs that charge bands for the privilege of performing in them.
The ex-GUNS N' ROSES star lambastes venue owners for making some bands pay a fee to play in their club.
McKagan fumes, "The clubs in Los Angeles have this thing called PAY TO PLAY, where a band literally has to pay in order to perform.
"It's the biggest scam in the f***ing world. The club owners already have money, they don't need any more, but they have the bands, these young bands, where they want them and so they just f*** them.
"It's very sleazy, and it's wrong. They make money from drinks anyway, from people being in their club.
"These people are strangling music."
