Hollywood star EWAN McGREGOR is being lined up to star in a fictional movie, based on British celebrity chef JAMIE OLIVER's reality TV show JAMIE'S KITCHEN.

Former POLYGRAM chief MICHAEL KUHN - who presided over the mega-successful FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL - is eager to turn the show into a "sort of Fame in the kitchen", reports film website EMPIRE ONLINE.

Kuhn says, "It is about a celebrity chef who goes on a personal journey with some out-of-work youngsters to set up a restaurant."

Despite the budget of just $19 million (GBP12 million), Kuhn is keen to recruit the best of Britain's acting talent for the film, and both he and Oliver want Ewan McGregor for the role of the chef.

Although Oliver's reality TV series - in which he took 15 inexperienced youngsters and turned them into chefs - is set in London, Kuhn plans to shoot the movie in New Jersey.
