THE ISLAND star EWAN McGREGOR has urged the people of Britain to come together and see themselves as one great country rather than four separate entities.
The actor is immensely proud of his Scottish heritage, but insists his loyal love for his homeland isn't at the expense of England, Wales and Northern Ireland and calls on all British citizens to end border rivalry.
He says, "I love Scotland. I love going home. I don't have a place there, but my parents live up there, and my brother lives there, so I've always got somewhere to stay. And my nana (grandmother) lives there.
"I love the idea of Great Britain. I'll support England in a football (soccer) match if Scotland aren't playing.
"I don't have any anti-English feelings."
