LOVE ACTUALLY star MARTINE McCUTCHEON is horrified by the lengths aspiring British actresses go to in Los Angeles to get themselves film roles.

The English actress spent more than three months driving around Hollywood auditioning for TV roles, but regularly felt outdone by her fellow Brits who would try to impress directors by dressing in sexy outfits.

She says, "I'd see some other British girls out there. You literally do have these girls in the corridors, all dressed up as BARBIE

dolls, reading their scripts and dressed up for the part.

"If its something set in 1940s France, they've got a beret on."
