SIR PAUL McCARTNEY wears women's false fingernails to enhance his guitar-playing.
The former BEATLE started wearing acrylic aesthetic attachments after his wife HEATHER MILLS suggested they would help improve the condition of his natural nails - worn down after years of strumming.
McCartney, 62, explains, "The way I flick the strings with my finger wears my nail down.
"A couple of years ago Heather suggested I put acrylic nails on. I said, 'No, I can't do that'. But I did do it on the last tour and it works like a dream."
