COLDPLAY - MARTIN'S HAIR DISASTER

COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN has apologised to his US fans for the out-of-control state of his hair.

The YELLOW hitmaker says his curly locks become wild during American tours because he refuses to get a haircut by anyone except his UK-based stylist.

He explains, "I look like MICHAEL BOLTON right now.

"The problem is my hairdresser is back in England while I'm out here on tour."

Martin was especially wary of his crop in Los Angeles, because the city's citizens are so well-presented.

He adds, "This is a city where everyone has headshot photos of themselves and so I know I'm definitely going to get judged on my appearance."
