COLDPLAY - MARTIN WRITES SONG FOR BABY

COLDPLAY singer CHRIS MARTIN will celebrate the birth of his first child with GWYNETH PALTROW by writing a special song for it.

The sensitive star has been telling friends his new track will be very similar to JOHN LENNON's BEAUTIFUL BOY (DARLING BOY), which the BEATLES' legend penned for his son SEAN when he was born in 1976.

A source says, "Chris wants to do something the baby won't forget. He is enjoying working on the project because he knows it will mean a lot to Gwyneth.

"Both of them are excited about the birth and Chris feels it will be a great way to celebrate becoming a father."

The insider adds that the news Chris is writing a Lennon-esque song for the child, who is due to be born in May (04), has added to speculation Paltrow will give birth to a boy.

The source explains, "They are keeping it very close to their chests - but everybody is talking about what the sex of the baby will be.

"Because Chris is saying his song is similar to Lennon's, the talk is that is will be a boy."
