COLDPLAY - MARTIN THRILLED TO BE TOLD OFF BY GELDOF

COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN's proudest rock 'n' roll moment was when SIR BOB GELDOF gave him a "verbal slap".

The SPEED OF SOUND star, 28, was riddled with neuroses and paranoia when he first met Geldof, as Coldplay were still new to the music scene.

He says, "I love Bob. He was the first person I was really proud to have had a paparazzi picture taken with.

"We went for a fried breakfast and he verbally gave me a slap and told me to pull myself together.

"It was way before we took off, when I was probably a bit paranoid."
