COLDPLAY - MARTIN REVEALS CLUE TO ALBUM COVER

LATEST: COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN has given a series of clues to fans hoping to work out the puzzle on the front cover of the band's new album X+Y.

The CLOCKS group release their third album in June (05) and baffled fans last week (ends08APR05) when they released the artwork - a collection of colour-coded blocks.

Martin says he wants to represent the band's music using "maths and geometrical principles".

Designer MARK TAPPILIN explains, "Chris just wanted something unique and bespoke. The band gave us continual feedback, even down to the exact shade of blue used."
