CHRIS MARTIN - MARTIN PLAYS SOCCER BETWEEN ROCK RECORDING

Expectant dad CHRIS MARTIN knows how to relax during sessions for the third COLDPLAY album - he plays soccer with the rest of the band.

The CLOCKS singer - whose wife GWYNETH PALTROW is due to give birth to the couple's first child in June (04) - took time out from recording the forthcoming platter to kick a ball around with his rocker pals.

And careless Chris even managed to hoof the ball over a wall adjacent to the north London studio, and had to climb over to retrieve it.

An onlooker says, "Chris and his mates looked like they were taking it seriously.

"But DAVID BECKHAM needn't worry about his place in the ENGLAND team, judging by Chris's 'silky' skills."
