COLDPLAY - MARTIN IN TROUSER TRAUMA

COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN almost revealed all to 7,000 US fans on Tuesday (07FEB06) night when his trousers fell down onstage.

The singer was mid-performance in Anaheim, California, when the wardrobe malfunction left him almost naked.

Martin turned to his wife GWYNETH PALTROW in the VIP area and quipped, "You can only really get away with this if you've got an a**e as good as BRAD PITT's".

The actress, who dated Pitt from 1995 - 1997, blushed at the joke as the rocker began singing an impromptu song about his backside.

His baffled band members played along to the invented lyrics, which included, "It should never have come to pass that you caught sight of my a**".

After the performance, 28-year-old Martin said, "I realised I had to make a joke of it. Luckily it went down pretty well - just like my pants!"
