Rocker CHRIS MARTIN was terrified when he took the stage for COLDPLAY's first live show in almost two years last week (11MAR05).
Coldplay played a secret warm-up gig at Los Angeles' Troubador Club, where they aired material from their anticipated third album X+Y.
But the IN MY PLACE frontman was more focused on overcoming his nerves.
He told the crowd, "When you're playing new songs, you tread a fine line between arrogance and, well, fear.
"It's a line we tread quite badly."
The band performed four new songs including SQUARE ONE, WHITE SHADOWS and WHAT IF, as well as a host of their biggest hits.
