Pop veteran MADONNA continues to sit atop the European singles chart with SORRY, holding off competition from THE BLACK EYED PEAS and EROS RAMAZZOTTI/ANASTACIA. The Black Eyed Peas are at number two with PUMP IT, while Eros Ramazzotti/Anastacia's I BELONG TO YOU moves up two places to number three. At number four is BOB SINCLAIR FEAT GARY PINE with LOVE GENERATION. NO TOMORROW by ORSON is at number five. Meanwhile, PLACEBO's MECS has ended JAMES BLUNT's eight week reign at the top of the European albums chart, knocking his BACK TO BEDLAM out of the top five altogether. Former PINK FLOYD guitarist DAVID GILMOUR is at number two with ON AN ISLAND, while ANDREA BOCELLI is at number three with AMORE. KELLY CLARKSON's BREAKAWAY is at number four, and CORINNE BAILEY RAE is at number five with her eponymous debut.
