US hip-hop duo GNARLS BARKLEY join an exclusive club of just 40 artists to see their single stay at number one in the UK charts for seven weeks or more. Hit track CRAZY, which was also the first to rule the charts on download sales alone, beat off LL COOL J who celebrates a dramatic rise from 15 to number two with CONTROL MYSELF (featuring JENNIFER LOPEZ). Crazy is the first track to enjoy such longevity since TONY CHRISTIE's re-release of (IS THIS THE WAY TO) AMARILLO last year (05). INFERNAL's disco track FROM PARIS TO BERLIN, BEATFREAKZ's song SOMEBODY'S WATCHING ME and RIHANNA all stayed in the top five for a second week running, while PET SHOP BOYS enjoy their first top 10 hit in six years with I'M WITH STUPID, which enters at 8. In the album charts, American rockers RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS leap to top spot with the hugely anticipated STADIUM ARCADIUM.
