ROB LOWE - LOWE STAYS DRY TO KEEP YOUNG

Actor ROB LOWE has maintained his youthful good looks by staying off alcohol for 14 years.

The 40-year-old, who now stars in TV hit THE WEST WING, has barely aged since his brat pack heyday in the mid-80s.

He explains, "It's been 14 years since I've had a drink anything or even so much as an aspirin, so that's probably part of it.

"I don't recommend that for everybody. I, however, needed it, and genetics is a big thing. Now I don't drink, I don't do drugs.

"I got to 40 eating absolutely everything I wanted to eat. I've stopped now."

But the ST ELMO'S FIRE star insists he hasn't abandoned all of his vices: "I got a bunch of cigars for my 40th birthday, and they're illegal. I haven't given up every illicit substance because I have my Cuban cigars."
