Courtney Love - Love In Tears Over New York Arrest

COURTNEY LOVE turned up 90 minutes late for a show in New York last Thursday night (18MAR04) because she was sobbing in her hotel room.

Love's appearance at the BOWERY BALLROOM ran so late that fans feared she wouldn't show at all, but she was holed up in her room desperately plucking up the courage to perform.

The rocker admits she feared a repeat of the previous night's (17MAR04) performance when she was led away from nightclub PLAID in handcuffs after allegedly striking a fan with a microphone stand.

Love exclusively told MTV reporter KURT LODER her arrest and subsequent night in jail terrified her.

She said, "It was really f***ing scary, man."

Speaking of her belated appearance at the Bowery Ballroom show, she added, "I was just scared. I wasn't going to play."
