COURTNEY LOVE - LOVE AND COBAIN VOTED HOTTEST ROCK + ROLL COUPLE

COURTNEY LOVE and KURT COBAIN have topped a MAXIM BLENDER magazine poll of the 50 Hottest Rock + Roll Couples.

The controversial twosome's three-year relationship created an endless list of headlines, right up until NIRVANA frontman Cobain's fatal suicide attempt in 1994.

The American publication says of the pair, "They stirred up s**t like no other rock couple before or since. The grunge BONNIE and CLYDE had it all - talent, rebel glamour and balls of steel.

"Their marriage was rife with sex, drugs and, occasionally, rock + roll. Oh, and guns. But mostly drugs."

Of those who made it into the top 10 of BLENDER'S POLL, only two of the couples are still together - BOBBY BROWN and WHITNEY HOUSTON and CHRIS MARTIN and GWYNETH PALTROW.

Just missing the top 10 were OZZY and SHARON OSBOURNE, and BEN AFFLECK and JENNIFER LOPEZ, who sit in 11th and 12th place respectively.

DAVID and VICTORIA BECKHAM landed in 35th place, ELTON JOHN and DAVID FURNISH in 37th, while JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE's recent pairing with CAMERON DIAZ scraped in at number 50.
