A judge has granted COURTNEY LOVE permission to leave the drug rehabilitation facility where she was ordered to spend 180 days two months ago.
In mid-September (05) Judge RAND RUBIN decided Love needed six months in a residential treatment facility, after she violated her probation by using drugs.
Love's probation violation stems from three cases, two of which she struck plea agreements for. Her charges of assault with a deadly weapon and two felony counts of illegal possession of prescription painkillers were lessened.
And last year (04), she received a sentence of 18 months of drug treatment for her charge of being under the influence of prescription painkillers.
But in a Los Angeles court hearing yesterday (18NOV05), Rubin told the former HOLE star, "You're doing really well. I'm really pleased with the reports. I certainly hope you keep up the good progress. You're definitely going in the right direction."
Love will still submit have to regular drug and alcohol checks.
Her lawyer HOWARD WEITZMAN told reporters outside the court, "Things are going great. She's moving forward and taking the process very seriously. She hopes this is the beginning of the next chapter in her life."
