LORD OF THE RINGS actress LIV TYLER is anxious about life after the fantasy trilogy, as the last installment of the massively successful film series hits cinemas.
The final film LORD OF THE RINGS: RETURN OF THE KING had its world premiere in New Zealand on Monday (01DEC03) - marking the end of four years' hard work for the cast and crew - and Tyler, who plays ARWEN in the movies, is curious to what the future will now hold.
She says, "It's interesting. It's kind of like graduating high school to me. Four years of our lives, we worked so hard and we have become so close as a group, but at the same time there is this really incredible feeling of anticipation of what the future holds.
"We will always be friends, but we have to see what's out there, too. We have been playing the same characters for almost four years and I am quite excited to say goodbye to that and to try other things, but it is sad at the same time."
The finale has also brought home to Tyler the enormity of Lord Of The Rings, and the impact the films have had on the movie-going world.
She adds, "Now that we are finished and it is coming to a close, there is this feeling of, 'Ahhhh, I can't believe this.' I saw these kids who had these Arwen dolls and I thought, 'Wow, I am a BARBIE doll.'"
