LUCY LIU - LIU DONATES $200,000 TO TSUNAMI APPEAL

Movie beauty LUCY LIU has donated $200,000 (GBP105,000) to the victims of last month's (26DEC04) Indian Ocean tsunami.

The CHARLIE'S ANGELS star, 36, was "inspired" by Egyptian millionaire MOHAMED AL FAYED's generous donation to the appeal, when she opened the January sale at his HARRODS department store in London last week (ends07JAN05).

Liu says, "Mohamed has given more than GBP150,000 and as a UNICEF ambassador, it was the least I could do."

Al Fayed is the father of DODI FAYED - the late boyfriend of DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES, who killed alongside the tragic royal in the August 1997 car crash.
