LISA STANSFIELD - LISA STANSFIELD RETURNS AS DIVA JUDGE

Forgotten British pop star LISA STANSFIELD is to be reborn in America as the judge of a new VH1 reality show to find America's number one diva.

The singer will join DESTINY'S CHILD star KELLY ROWLAND, GLORIA ESTEFAN, PATTI LA BELLE and TLC's TIONNE 'T-BOZ' WATKINS to offer advice and criticism on new show BORN TO DIVA.

The quintet of stars all have their own take on what it means to be a diva, but Stansfield admits she's looking for the next ARETHA FRANKLIN.

She says, "Aretha is the original all-round diva. It takes her kind of dedication to be a diva.

"You also have to develop the hide of a rhinoceros but don't get too carried away with what you're doing and get too big for your boots."

The Born To Diva contest begins tonight (28APR03) with the winner announced at the VH1 DIVA DUETS show on 22 May (03). The winner will also get to perform at the Las Vegas, Nevada, show, which will feature CHAKA KHAN and QUEEN LATIFAH.
