THE LIBERTINES singer PETE DOHERTY will perform his first live gig next week (begs24MAY04) since leaving rehab in a bid to overcome his drug addiction.

The TIME FOR HEROES star - recently treated for crack cocaine abuse at a London clinic - is promising fans a dazzling stage performance.

Using archaic language, Doherty says, "There'll be a gig on Tuesday (25MAY04), mark ye, a giggle of infinite gaggling dancing hardcore cleansed goggle eyed at my health.

"I vow to be clean and that one month shall pass me by pipeless and unbrown of foil again."
